Give me a fresh piece of wild catch fish, please.

Really, if you still are a fan of this McDonald’s Filet-O-Fish sandwich you ‘may not be alive’ in one day, as it said in a video’s song. Is fish bad for you? Not at all, it is healthy, if you eat good, fresh fish. The question yet remains: is there the fish in Mac sandwich and what else besides the fish?

Look at the List of ingredients: fish filet patty, bun, tartar sauce, pasteurized processed American cheese, and seasoning (what is that?). According to http://www.DietRiot.com, Fish Fish Patty contains: Pollock or Hoki ( I am surprised, these two are even qualified as fish!), bleached wheat flour, modified carn starch, yellow corn flour, dextrose, salt, yeast, cellulose gum, natural flavoring (vegetable source). Cooked in partially hydrogenated vegetable oils, (may contain partially hydrogenated soybean oil and/or partially hydrogenated canola oil and/or cottonseed oil and/or sunflower oil and/or corn oil). TBHQ and citric acid added to help preserve freshness. Dimethyl/polysiloxane added as an anti-foaming agent.

So, what you or your children get? In Nutritition Facts: 470 calories, calories from fat–234, fat–40%; Cholesterol–17%; Carbs–15%, Sodium–30%, Dietary fiber–only 4%, Protein–15%, Sugars–5g

There also listed :Vitamin A–4%; Calcium–20%, Vitamin C–0%, Iron–10% How in a ‘mish-mash’ like this sandwich spiced with the “foaming agent,” dymethyl/polysiloxane and hydrogenated oils producing trans fat, any vitamins could be found? A mystery? Not for curious minds who have questions.

Why Big Mac has to go through so many troubles as to put together so many cheap and dangerous ingredients just in one sandwich and make its fans obese and unhealthy? Why the company just doesn’t cut one decent piece of fish for its F-O-F sandwich? It will add expenses and cut company’s profits. Who cares about your health? So, make your own sandwich, if you don’t want to eat junk fook that can make you or your children sick.

Just a reminder. In the Free Dictionary (http://www.thefreedictionary.com/fish+filet) fish is described as a slice, piece, serving that has been cut from a larger portion. Look at the picture on the top of this post.

Want to try fresh fish sandwich? Make it at home with real fish (poached salmon, orange roughy, flounder, bass), sprinkle lemon juice and cold-pressed olive oil. Add gourmet cheese, seasalt, black pepper or paprika, fresh dill or Italian parsley, and a piece of tomato.
