Pomegranates are now being recognized as one of the hot, new “super foods” because they taste good and load your body with invaluable nutrition. Researchers confirm that pomegranates are rich in minerals (calcium, potassium, iron) and phytonutrients–compounds helping the body protect itself against heart disease, arthritis, cancer, diabetes and rheumatoid.
In addition, this nutrition-rich fruit contains powerful antioxidants that help to delay the aging process and can neutrilize almost twice as many free radicals as red wine and seven times as many as green tea. As a further benefit, some researchers suggest that the crunchy seeds help flush fats from the digestive tract.
At the beginning of May I have been visiting my relatives in Malibu, California. Pomegranate trees there were in their victorious bloom. Its delicate flowers looked so joyful to the eyes. I felt instantly happy and rejuvenated while looking at this graceful tree. This photo is taken by me in the garden of the Getty’s famous villa-museum. Getty’s garden is absolutely fabulous and you can spent hours and hours admiring hundreds of plants, herbs and flowers growing there.
Do you feel unhappy, depressed or fatigued? Here is my Grandma’s recipe–a proven tip for successful natural treatment.
